Value Chain Optimization of rural products

We are constantly improving the lower end of value chain with introduction of simple technology, marketing capacity and ensuring proper business development service (BDS); building capacities of local youth and women groups as value chain actors and entrepreneurs; creating a market information system (using technology), market information board, minimum procurement and support price, and registration of traders at village level for non-timber forest products (NTFPs); tapping programme opportunities to strengthen marketing institutions and infrastructure; and finally creating a multi-actor platform for livelihoods planning and stronger interplay of specialized skills and action area for greater household returns, particularly in tribal districts of Odisha.
